Responding to my tweet concerning Crystar, one of my friends here recommended that I look into the 5-issue series: Weirdworld (Vol. 0) by Jason Aaron.

With my Marvel Comics app, I see that the story features Arkon (Perez's X-Men classic Arkon).

Looks GOOD; gonna check it out!🤓

That issue of Captain America;

it contains the panel of when Cap threw his shield to ricochet in the pattern of a star.

It's a classic maneuver by Cap; possibly the only time he's ever done it.

Doom watched Predator the night before their encounter, and Vic was inspired to Homage the classic spine rip scene.

Doom took it to another level though; not only did he do the spine rip from the front, he did it from someone who was STILL alive.
