Good #SciComm is essential in a pandemic -- not just to educate everyday people but all non-scientists, such as policymakers. Ignoring the dangers of COVID-19 just makes the situation worse.
At Agent Majeur we have developed the #SELL method for public speaking. It consists in following 3 steps to lead a successful oral presentation: Skeleton, Envelope & Life and Logistics. Here is a small overview.
Alright, Imma take a break to finish up some things but hopefully y'all have enjoyed learning about #SciComm & #Storytelling! Be sure to check out @AGU_SciComm for more tips & I'll be following up w/ more resources later!
I'm going to stick to what I know focus on the mechanics of #storytelling as a #Scicomm tool. 3/3

Do any of you out there draw science art/cartoons/create other types of #SciArt? Share your work & we'll help spread the word!

#SciArt is also a good tool for humanizing science and, through humor, building community, as with these science valentines that @squidfan drew for @theAGU last year https://t.co/IU4XaXQTKh
#SciArt can be used to add humor to #SciComm, like this "identification" guide @squidfan made to "Common Sneks of Maryland" #herpetology
You can use #SciArt in a more meditative way, too, as @squidfan did with this #Sciartober prompt "adaptation":
In fact, check out sites like https://t.co/QYG7AdEEF8 or accounts like @SciArtInitiativ, among others, to see some incredible #SciArt by artists and scientists.
