A follow up to my other Mother's Day pic and one that's close to me. This day isn't a celebration for everyone, for folks who have lost mothers like myself or do not have a relationship with theirs it can bring up a lot of emotions. My heart is with y'all <3

Tariq is actually more recent in creation and is a blend of a couple of character ideas I never quite used. But I do have 4 sketches of one of the characters he was eventually based on (guest appearances by Farida/Thalia and the OG Diamante design):

Sardonyx/Kaimile has always been the skeptical, analytical one in the pair, but fiercely protective of those they love. (3)

Neither of them have gone through any BIG changes in design other than swapping to more appealing colors, changing markings, and losing accessories to make things easier for me. Farida/Thalia has always been the kind-hearted, optimist of the pair (2)

I don't have access to a working tablet but I did find some of my original drawings and sketches of Farida & Sardonyx! The two, then named Thalia & Kaimile, were created in 2014 for a RP group serving similar roles to what they serve now in "Genesis" (1)
