Fluctuating from Mania and Depression and ultimately I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder in 2013 at the age of 21. I had become jaded with everything and ignored all my responsibilities just to go hide out in my studio to sleep and paint if I had the energy to do so.

And for some time after I did a lot of these artworks of tortured faces, strange characters and the occasional study of the human body.

The palette is muted and more often than not totally grayscale. The works are carefully crafted effigies of distorted faces and mangled flesh.
Vulnerable and emotional, these are works that pierce through the heart.

A Digital painter and 3D artist, the pseudonym "Images Sombres" was conceived In 2015 as a space dedicated to personal projects, allowing for a thorough exploration of melancholic themes.

This magic is the essence of his work, you feel it radiate from each piece and I am forever enamored by Andrés continuous efforts to break the mold, nothing will be set in stone, nothing ever is.
