To those discouraged by rejections: PERSEVERE. I received rejections for yrs before getting noticed in industry. Drove me crazy when some called me an overnight success. Keep working; you'll be ready to make the most of the opportunity *when* lightning hits.
Writers and writer/illustrators: Get the book finished FIRST. You can always revise later.
Productivity tip for writers: Learn how to write anywhere and in pockets of time that others might normally discard.
