Student of the above and one of the absolute greats of woodcut print illustration. His work is so detailed and has such depth and movement, it blows my mind.
@marlowelune OH and for a slightly less tiny vibe with more lovely woods on a larger scale, barbara firth's illustrations for martin waddell's little bear series (especially 'can't you sleep, little bear?') are wonderful
@marlowelune the brambly hedge series by jill barklem!! about mice who live inside hollowed trees and hedgerows... the illustrations still make my heart catch. like a more idyllic redwall.
