Sometimes there’s an event I’ve been excited about for months, but when the day arrives, so does my anxiety.
How do you cope when you want to go somewhere but your anxiety doesn’t?
You ever decide “Okay, FINE, I will have a good cry and get it over with,” but then once you start crying it’s impossible to stop and your rational self is like, “Quit it! Pull yourself together!” but your emotional side is just, “WAHH!” and your dog is looking at you like “WTH?”
Sometimes I feel selfish for acknowledging my needs, even to myself. And saying them out loud is even harder. But I’m learning it’s necessary, and most of the time, people are more understanding than I expected. Do you struggle with this too?
