This is a short story from my Sonic AU!
Stone and Robotnik used to work for G.U.N., Stone being an agent assigned to protect Robotnik, while Robotnik was a scientist.
Both ended in that situation because of a being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

@stipplestan There's a slightly gayer version of him too, being like "Stone... You do really care?"

Someone suggested that Stone's name came because of him somehow being linked to the emeralds, and well...
