2nd grade learned about American artist George Rodrigue, and we discussed how his work Blue Dog was used in ways to help his community in Louisiana, particularly after Hurricane Katrina. Ss made their own dog, and I love how @Seesaw gives us a glimpse into their inspiration 😆
6th grade portraits are slowly rolling in…they have been working so hard on these learning about proportions and picking themes and techniques they are confident in and love to create in ✨ #dg58creates
6th graders looked at Social Issues they see in their daily lives, and created digital logos to represent an organization that worked to address that social issue 💫
Thanks @CapettiniMaggie for helping design this! #dg58creates #dg58pride #socialissues #graphicdesign
5th grade has been having a total blast exploring animation in art thanks to the @FlipaClip app and @MrBelonio 🏐 such a great way to explore in the Media and Methods trimester! 🎞
Inspired by M.C Escher alongside @MrBelonio and his amazing Escher T-shirts, students created their hands doing something they love, traditionally and digitally!👋🏿👏🏼🙌🏽👐🏾👊🏻
Check out these final works! #dg58pride #dg58creates
The DG Art team is coming up with some amazing lessons and I was inspired to try them out! 3rd grade did abstract art with @CapettiniMaggie , 4th grade created public art drawings with @MrsDavidArt using @Seesaw tools, and 5th muppetized themselves with @Mrs_Lukes @MrBelonio
From needle pointing to drawing to @Procreate I’m loving seeing these independent projects students create #dg58creates
These independent self-portraits though!! #dg58creates
Thanks to @Seesaw for their amazing platform to document their progress and provide tutorials all within a template
6th grader independent Self-Portraits 🙌 love seeing the blend of personal interest and style come together #dg58creates #dg58pride
