Creatures of the night

It pushed me to explore some interesting design that I wouldn't have choosen normaly and it was quite a great learning experience

Some illustrations I made a year ago for a kickstarter.
It was a bit different from what I usually create but fun to make

I find a morbid fascination in rot and decay.
It is at the same time frightening and reassuring to know that everything is destined to the same fate.

While I love drawing monster, animals in general is what I like doing !

A little making of of the creation of this painting,
while I started with a more unrealistic and fantastical look for the creature I decided to make it a bit more grounded as time passed. Letting an artwork change during it's creation is always hard but important.
