Looking at the timeline, Zimzalabim was inspired by IGAB so it's likely written in 2013. They said SM picked it up quickly, so it's likely SM had the song while preparing for SNSD's 4th EP.

But after doing IGAB's concept, it's unlikely SM would set SNSD on a similar path after.
