For 𝙆'𝘼𝙒𝙄𝙄𝙇's Spear of Time, I combined the design of an ancient Olmec staff with that of the Tzolk'in ("count of days" the modern name for the Maya version of the 260 days cycle Mesoamerican calendar. Used as a wheel in combination w/ the 360+5 days cycle, the Haab) 🧵(9/)

Alongside 𝙌𝙐𝙀𝙏𝙕𝘼𝙇𝘾𝙊𝘼𝙏𝙇 the Feathered Serpent (whose Maya Iucatec equivalent is 𝙆𝙐𝙆𝙐𝙇𝙆𝘼𝙉 or 𝙌'𝙐𝙌'𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙕 in K'iché Maya from Guatemala), forming a pair of creator gods, 𝙏𝙀𝙕𝘾𝘼𝙏𝙇𝙄𝙋𝙊𝘾𝘼 set out to capture the primordial waters beast 🧵(6/12)
