I have found a great course and a great instructor on Udemy. This is Lindsay Marsh's Logo Design Course, and in the first project, I learned to use the width tool. Almost all of this was created by contorting a simple straight line.

@JustinRColon I rest for a while, and then, I garden. If I need to learn something new [like Adobe Illustrator}, I work on that. When I get back into a work mode [doing something else], I can get back on track.
