I just had this WIP of one of my larger ink drawings appear as a facebook memory from 6 years ago.
I can't believe it was only 6 years ago that I really started to take my ink drawing seriously.

I’m revisiting a lot of my older paintings, because I wasn’t happy with the older scans and the light that reflected on the textured paper and canvas.
It’s been really fun and freeing to work like I did in acrylics, but to just have that totally stripped down super flat look. WIP

It feels so good to return to these images after so many years.
Painting in super flat acrylics was good for shows, but the digital files would reflect too much light.
Understanding that these images need to remade to be really crisp for screen had been rewarding.

Here's a crop a few images that came after creating the Jungle drawing.
I'd reuse other ideas and poses from other projects that were rejected, and blended them into new imagery.
