The pre52 versions did match however, started off young and a bit of an awkward rush. As well as Clark thought he wasn’t good enough for Diana at that time. Though, they remained friends with moments of deeper feelings shown from time to time over the years.

It’s not exactly dealt with in a solid sense. It’s just one panel that implies Diana gave up her love with Clark and (with Steve) to put duty as Wonder Woman first. It’s revisionism/retcon to what actually happened though.

Lol Diana is never selfish. She is willing to make any sacrifice. She was willing to kill him if necessary. She made saving the world a race. The world comes first as stated.
