Checkmate, sharks. Goofy one for an exquisite corpse. Originally titled "the Global Commercial Fishing Industry" but went for brevity.

Some Woodringesque souls for the office exquisite corpse.

Mini world games. Here's a picture of the magic circle you're about to have some fun in. Oath (again), Railroad Ink, Santa Monica, Perrichor, as examples. Hell, even the super awkward Roads & Boats does a good job of this.

The absolute best in my mind convey either a sense of the mechanics (abstracts often) or help you see the world within. Abstracts: Passtally, the Gipf series (less the textures), Wavelength again, Micropul. I don't even know what Micropul is, but now I want to.

Many covers I really love that are more design-forward probably betray a preference for more traditional graphic design, illustration and general minimalism. Jordan Draper's system for his covers, Parks, Wavelength, the original Fire in the Sky cover.

It's all starting to come together. Petroglyphs in Joshua Tree; Elder Mark from Craig of the Creek in his Magic the Gathering shirt.

Gravlox Kirkonen, aging mediocre sellsword without ambition. He's found himself adopted by a necrotic celestial godhand, origin & purpose unknown. Gravlox doesn't actually see the hand (nor does anyone else), but knows it's there, working its designs on him.

I really appreciate the weird little triangle gap that is made by Bob Belcher's hair and forehead. I think about it a lot. It's something they could've gotten rid of and it's super irritating and I'm very glad they kept it.

And another for an exquisite corpse we're doing on the design team at work.
