What’s old is new! My p*trons voted for me to re-do a horned owl sketch from years ago.
Had to give him a bit of a size upgrade this time around #fantasyart

Photo reference is vital to recreating the look of certain materials, but sometimes I find it useful to see how other artists have handled it.
Almost like they use a different equation to solve the same problem.
Ex: I looove the way Leyendecker did reflective surfaces and fabrics
