30) Melancholia - Douman Seyman
Another weird Manga by Douman Seyman, that only really shows it's plot 2/3rds through the story.
Not as strong as some other works I've read of his, but also by no means bad.
A fun read that I can certainly recommend.
25) Dead Company - Yoshiki Tonogai
Another Death Game Manga by Tonogai, one of the OGs.
Definitely stronger than his last one, Secret, but it sadly doesn't come close to Judge or Doubt for me.
Either way, I'm a sucker for his Manga, so I enjoyed it quite a bit.
23) Yuri Kuma Arashi (2015) - Kunihiko Ikuhara [rewatch]
Was meaning to rewatch Yuri Kuma for a while now & it was definitely worthwhile.
First watched the show as it aired, i.e. when I was 16, and missed so much about its social criticism.
Baffled how I managed to miss it tbqh.
18) Baccano! Specials (2008)
Three Episodes that continue after Baccano!'s end, resolving some of the 'open' plots while also setting up a few new plots that may happen & leaving them open-ended on purpose.
These three Episodes certainly feel like a thematically fitting ending!
17) Baccano! (2007)
I should've finished this show way earlier.
Baccano! does so many things exactly the way I like it's almost a joke. Great Characters, a unique style of storytelling, an interesting story. All around a great show!
13) Li'l Spider Girl - Wasurenagumo (2012) - Toshihisa Kaiya
Must admit, I expected something completely different from this one.
An interesting Short nonetheless and I really liked how they handled the ending.
12) Kick-Heart (2013) - Masaaki Yuasa
Kick-Heart screams just Yuasa. I think that's the most I can say about it. Definitely not for everybody but for any fan of Yuasas work this is more of it filled with incredibly expressive animation.
11) Pigtails - Mitsuami no Kamisama (2015) - Yoshimi Itazu
Read the Manga original last year and by chance picked the BD for this one up without realising it's the adaptation.
Mitsuami no Kamisama is just a great Short Story and it was wonderfully adapted. Highly recommend!
9) Takt Op. Destiny (2021)
One of those shows I instantly new I wanted to watch when I first heard about it.
Surprised that it didn't do a WEP tbqh. All in all one of the best shows of last season.
Could've been even better had they just cut the last 90-120 seconds of the show.
