Today in Japan is known as 花祭り, flower festival, or Buddha’s birthday!

In Japan, Buddha’s birthday is celebrated on April 8. On this day, Buddhist temples place the statue of Baby Buddha in a small shrine decorated with flowers and visitors can pour sweet tea over it.
