UNLOCKED - More artwork! We are doubling the amount of artwork originally planned for the game! Here’s some of it:
We are in the final 48 hours of the Brindlewood Bay Kickstarter campaign! We still have one big stretch goal to hit, and any help you can give us is much-appreciated! Even just spreading the word is helpful!
I hate that it took an illness for me to make that decision for myself, but I’m glad I finally did. And I’m happy these ladies helped me out along the way.
Anyway, apologies for getting so personal. I’ve just had this stuff on my mind so much the last few days.
YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO MURDER
A jockey is found dead in their horse’s stall, clutching a mysterious pouch containing herbs, bent iron nails... and a human toe! Has the Witch of Palomino Fields struck again? A Sweeps Week mystery by @signalstation
CARNIVAL CARNAGE
When carnival barker Samson Anderson is found dead in the Fun House, several carnies are suspected. But as the Mavens begin poking around for clues, they discover that the carnival might itself be a conduit to the Fragrant Void! A mystery by Alicia Furness.
All roleplaying games—no matter the genre—have the challenge of having to merge 4 or 5 different head canons in order to tell a story, or they rely on an incredibly skilled GM. Those are obviously not un-clearable hurdles, but it makes mysteries an especially tricky genre to do.
#9: Brindlewood Bay is surprisingly lethal. You get to watch the player characters die *all the time* in this game.
Ok, help me out: you’re talking to your OSR friend, trying to convince them to take a look at Brindlewood Bay.
What do you say to convince them?
Have Yourself a Merry Little Murder is unlocked!
I’m really proud of how well our little game is doing on Kickstarter. It’s not a big, shiny licensed game and it wasn’t made by an award-winning game designer, but it’s holding its own!
The folks at Roll to Meddle have been doing a terrific series of interviews and actual plays based on Brindlewood Bay! Give them a listen if you haven’t already done so. (Link in next tweet)
