@SEGA Immediate pick is Sonic, but since that’s probably a bit on the nose, I’ll share another one of my favorite Sega characters; Amitie from Puyo Puyo!

Snap N. Koopa was actually the first OC I ever created (having been made as far back as 2005 I believe), though his name, age, and personality are much different than they were all those years ago. His passion for photography was inherited from his sister, another canned OC.

Reason Lucy was going to be retconned is by extension of the original version’s sister, Maria, being replaced by Airashi, who was originally going to be just a one-off character from Mario’s childhood. And now Airashi is my most popular OC! Talk about a rise to fame, right?

The status of Lucy’s character has fluctuated quite a bit. She was originally conceived as a female counterpart to Luigi, but got retconned in favor of Rei. Was gonna make her the Mario Bros’, mom, but used Luana for that instead. Now, she’s the daughter of her “replacement”!

Jim was going to act much more like the character he’s inspired from, Minoru Mineta, but being a degenerate isn’t exactly fitting of a Shy Guy. He’s still a perv, but I instead just made Jim too honest and a big derp. Just don’t mention Lotte around him... He’ll go full simp!

When I was first coming with a rival team for Team B.O.S.S., two of the members, who would later become Plasma and Lillie, were much different. Plasma was going to have red ink and be a stereotypical bully. Lillie was going to have white ink, but again, would’ve been too much.

Speaking of Sludge Reefs, he was going to be much uglier when I was first coming up with him; he was going to be chubbier, afflicted with acne, etc. But when I decided to base him on Klug, I fixed him up a bit. His name and overgrown fang are remnants of that initial idea.

Kiyu T. was originally going to be a ninja who could manipulate water, and was part of a squad. Over time I reduced her role to a minor one; the water powers went to Maggie, her original name, Coral, went to Sludge’s mom, and the rest of her team, went kaput. Kept the hair tho!
