@Scamper52596 By the time of Splatoon 2, Splatty and Sludge are officially a couple. As a result, she’s placed a marking made of his ink on her face. In my canon, when an Inkling girl does this, it symbolizes her love for her boyfriend and that she will be faithful to him.
@Scamper52596 Due to Splatoon having been announced around the time I had just discovered the one I’m about to bring up, a lot of my Inklings have personalities derived from characters in the Puyo Puyo series. In this case;
Blue = Maguro
Orange = Arle
Sludge = Klug
Splatty = Amitie
@Scamper52596 Sludge is a member of Team B.O.S.S., with Blue as the leader (the default Inkling Boy in Splatoon 1 who doubles as Agent 3 in my works). The other team members are Orange and Splatty Inkwell, who he has a crush on. They’re the main group of Inklings for my fan project.
@hts9 @ThisJustlnTime Ah, you used one of my drawings of Dark Matter Blade for the example; thanks! Though I’m personally more partial to my newer take on it:
@Scamper52596 You’re welcome! I got an Inkling OC who’s got that “aim for the top” mentality as well, or rather, two. Except one is easy to work with, while the other, well, isn’t...! I actually have a bunch more, but I’m just sticking with the ones relevant to my comment here.
@LilyKootie99 But as far as I’ve seen, when it comes to the main games themselves, they typically try to represent the male and female player characters equally. The Let’s Go games for instance feature both Chase and Elaine together for most of its promotional art:
@PlusUltraCore That and you might get to meet Fiona, since it’s very likely she’d be leading the search for him!
