Lookin’ like this is reelin’ in the big numbers too, so uh, here’s a little incentive to follow me. Have some Pokémon and Puyo artwork I’ve done! Mostly draw Mario stuff (as you’ll notice with the fourth picture), but you’ll still see the aforementioned games drawn quite a bit!

And the one who’s undoubtedly become the cover girl of my work, “Miss Jeans” herself (as Snap calls her) wasn’t even going to be seen as an adult, she was just going to be a clingy fan girl of Mario’s back in middle school. Now (far as my stuff goes) Ai’s his future wife!

Sludge Reefs was going to be much more unsightly, with a chubbier appearance and a bad case of acne. The name and large fang are leftovers of this concept, but I made him look much better when I decided to base him off of my favorite Puyo Puyo character, Klug.

Goombatt, another longtime OC, started out as “Goombill”, a minor character who was initially unrelated to Goombella and had a crush on her instead. Now, he’s got psychic powers and a mission to become the strongest in the world! And an Achilles heel in the form of human girls.

Snap N. Koopa here, my very first OC, started off as a much different, younger character named “Keepa Koopa”, and he was a rookie treasure hunter with no combat capability. After canning him for a bit, he was brought back with an interest in photography instead and ice powers.

Y’know, it’s almost crazy to think about a time when these four in particular were going to be nothing more than gag characters that wouldn’t amount to anything; now, they’re practically some of the most important characters in #SuperMarioJBX
