Kim Salt (@kesalt and https://t.co/YVuy95he3I ) is probably one of, if not, the first editorial illustrator I was shown to as inspiration. Her lush style is recognizable from far away--her shapes and colors make me want to decorate my home with greenery!
Angelica Alzona (@angelicaalzona and https://t.co/SLogPe1lIL) is also someone who is able to take on so many styles and create powerful messages with a single image. Really knows how to take advantage of color and composition.
Natalie Shaw ( @neobees and https://t.co/OKIHuQdEe0) produces worlds you wish you were in and lifestyles that you wish you could have. Her work has the right amount of detail, adding to how realistic these scenes feel.
Tracy J Lee (@Tracyjleeart and https://t.co/grgzmDHjec) is a magical illustrator who has the ability to merge color, emotion, movement (sometimes literally) and story into her work. Some people are just born to use color and Tracy is no exception.
Molly Mendoza (@thisismollym and https://t.co/opxo8b6iGq) has work that so moving, so dynamic that it’s easy to think that you’re trippin. Every illustration she does really makes you look twice
Allissa Chan (TWO L’s!! @formyths https://t.co/lxC9NE5asH) and I were in the same program in college. I admire Allissa for, even while our tired selves were suffering in our design studios, for having the motivation to keep drawing, regardless of her major.
Angela Hsieh (@hisiheyah https://t.co/5AJ1AGuYHf) and I met when we were both interns at NPR this last summer. She is a tireless artist who refuses to take any BS and pursued her dreams even after graduating from pre-med. Also a wonderful AD, animator, and friend.
Alice Lee (@byalicelee and https://t.co/nBrswvw8pQ) has been with me since I began carving my way into illustration. A kind, thoughtful, and intelligent woman who makes colorful, breathtaking, and dynamic work
o shit i have a feeling this is gonna blow up but if it doesn't im ok with living in shame
