4 May 1535: William Exmew #Carthusian is pressed by Thomas Cromwell's agent Thomas Bedyll #otd to acknowledge the King's Supremacy just as three #Carthusian priors were going to their deaths.
Exmew was hanged with two of his confrères on 19 June.
