And then a dramatic arrival. I’m really pleased with how this sequence turned out. Working with scrolling format can be so fun sometimes.

The comic is set in a fantasy Japan during the Taisho era, so I’m looking forward to weaving in lots of 1910s-20s influences through the story.

Small village + late entrance to the game = out of options.

Her rivalry with the local doctor was really fun to write. I imagine she’s been a pain to him ever since he moved in.

I really like drawing Maple. She’s a really expressive character.

I’m trying to push myself with environments and locations with this series, so I’m using a bunch of techniques to get this look in the time I have available between updates. #folkremedycomic
