Ami - a character for a future comic project I'm working on. PS: Drawing faces over and over is actually pretty hard lol. But this was good practice. #sketch #characterart #comics
My entry for @clipstudiopaint ‘s #cspcontest27 #StudioShare <3 This is how I felt opening my first #wacomtablet 😍 like it’s “my time to shine” haha (get it? The contest name? No? Okay) but really I’m super excited to use it with #clipstudiopaint once my new computer gets here.
I really like my lines with this one. Feels like I figured something out haha #lineart #dtiys #digitalart #Procreate
Value study while working on a #dtiyschallenge from Insta - not sure why she has a Disney princess face but it works
When I was young I drew photo realism like this. People told me it wasn’t real art, that it took no real skill or creativity. That anyone could do it. And it made me resent realism. I thought “if I want to be an artist, then I have to do something else” But it was all I knew.
So this isn’t worthy art?? ‘cause it’s anime style?? Yes, learn the fundamentals. Anatomy is a must. But once you have that down, you should be able to explore stylized areas. Even with anime style art you can tell who knows their fundamentals and those who are still learning.
