Finally turned Mikey into an Animal Crossing villager. I had to make shocked because of how excitable and jumpy he is.

Oh, and remember what I said last night about not being able to pick a shirt color? Well, here you go. Two surprised kitties for the price of one!

Saw Mikey sleeping and needed to draw him. Wanted to make it more simple to capture the curves of his pose and movement even as he’s laying still.

That‘s the magic of #NY21SCBWI , it gets my creative juices flowing!

Revisited The Pirate starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly, and was struck by the staging of this one frame that I had to do a color study/figure drawing of it. The neutral colors emphasize Judy’s gown, and she commands the scene even as she bows to Gene. Nice.
