@Riley_VanDeWeg Noice. And yeah, it was definitely avant-garde in 1997, especially for anime which was usually thought to be for kiddos at the time.
Gurren lagann is pretty similar and has a lot of the same animators working on it, but it has a more humorous overtone.
@Riley_VanDeWeg You're just biased against anime facial features, this dude has almost nothing going on that is like Marth except the face and a little bit of the hair, but it's a normal style, he's supposed to be a high school student after all.

I can't believe how much I think about my brother selling his WiiU to game stop and how much I didn't think about buying it at gamestop's crappy payback rates and keeping it in the house. So many great games, so many fun times, lost. Such regret.
