Fun Fact: The name of Kyutaro's Cafe is ヤドリギ ・宿り木 (Yadorigi), which means "Mistletoe" in EN. So, Kazuki and Rei met under the roof of the Mistletoe Cafe. Like, this queer subtext is practically text at this point!
Here is a write up on did on my Tumblr account about some of the social issues that can help with understanding #BuddyDaddies:

Rei being super low-energy, but still going along with Kazuki and Miri's flow and trying his best like sewing and writing Miri's name on things. While also being actively involved in her daycare experience, like willingly reading the handbook. 🥹♥️🥹

Like night vs day. The first daycare lady was 100% judging them, while Anna had zero judgement and only cared about the fact that Miri was happy and healthy.

It's so refreshing to see more anime series have female characters that aren't conventionally thin and not overly sexualize them or make their bodies into jokes.

This explains why cishet guys don't see the homoerotic subtext in Tiger & Bunny, since it has all the other demographics covered: https://t.co/ijV0Jl419K
For Trigun fans mourning the loss of great character designs. I recommend Tiger & Bunny. It has well written comedy (to lift your spirits) & characters (+ mostly adult cast), does an increasingly better job of writing its female & queer characters, plus lots of man titties! A++
Now, we get to S2 Nathan. How she presents herself in this season leans much more heavily into feminine presentation. And, unlike in S1, where a more masculine and aggressive side sometimes presented itself (when her car got ruined), S2 Nathan never displays anything like that.
S1 Nathan is shown pursuing Antonio, a man who looks absolutely NOTHING like the boy she had a crush on in her school days. Total opposite. At this point, Nathan was in a "fake it 'till you make it" kind of stage in her journey. Yes, she was presenting in a way she wanted, but...
Now, let's jump to S1 Tiger & Bunny. At this stage in her journey, Nathan's presentation is a mixture of masculine & feminine. But S1 Nathan is still struggling with accepting herself. That fear is still there, and we see this present itself in two ways: 1. Antonio 2. groping.
