I've always wanted to try a version of the Sinai Christ Pantocrator icon. So I took a shot, mixed in some Byzantine, a more Renaissance pose, a bit of Mucha...and I have no idea how it came out. I learned icons are difficult. But an appropriate project for a Lenten weekend.
I've been narrowing my social media platforms, and I've decided to resume posting Theseus pages on Twitter (right now one per Tuesday). Here's a four page catchup on Ch. 8 which just began. If you want to go to Ch. 1, the link is in bio.
To this day, this is the most triumphant brachiosaurus I've ever painted.

I just found this assignment from a creature design class back in 2012. I mixed dinosaur, primate and feline anatomy because apparently the more the better. One of my first works done digitally as well.
Every couple of years I put together a new self-portrait to track my aging and increased appearance of discombobulation.
If you like the one-off comics I do on the LotR or video game franchises, I'm adding this 24 page comic as a Stretch Goal. Free for any pledge over $50 (pre-shipping) if we break 15k. We're almost there. $8 as an add-on otherwise. What else are you going to spend $8 on?
If they celebrated Halloween in Ancient Greece, this is exactly what it would look like.
And the Kickstarter is still rolling, so see the link in the bio for Vol 2 (and 1 if you're new).

I just re-found this painting from grad school in 2013. Go read a book, like this cricket, who is more learned than you.
