Here's the texture work I did on Breach for Fade's cinematic trailer. The biggest challenge here was getting his arms to look right.

Here you can see the three layers separately. It's quite subtle but I think it makes a big difference when you look at the final result, especially with lighting
Here are the main shapes I try to make when doing hair.
1 - Base: main shape of the hair, it's the fullest layer.
2 - Clumps: this one is smaller and sits on top of the first one. It also serves to reinforce the flow of the hair
3- Details: the flyaway hairs to break silhouette
I was going through a phase where everything I made in 3D was feeling very generic and stiff, but I think this one has something of my style showing through which is cool!
