From this point onward, it was a lot of rendering, tweaking and playing with adjustment layers in photoshop
Neat trick #2 - I wanted her hair to feel like it had more depth so I took the background color, painted it on some strands and lowered the opacity
Now that I had some values layed out, I started blending stuff and working on her face more.
This is when I tried going in with an airbrush and an overlay layer to try to add some saturation and soft volumes to things like her shorts and her coat.
