It's times like this I really miss Comics . Like, who else could I pitch a story about all the disparate Evangelion comics spin-offs to? There sure were some weird ones...

The angel vs. Eva fights and religious symbolism are cool and all, but the domestic comedy is also top-notch. Pen Pen never got enough screen time.

I do kinda love how Son of Satan's symbol is shining in the sky in this image, like Commissioner Gordon just lit the Satan-signal...

Beyond the monsters, I suspect a large part of the film's appeal came from actress Pamela Duncan, who had two waking-up-in-her-nightgown scenes and three bathing suit scenes. I guess the blonde on the poster having her bathing suit clawed off is supposed to be Duncan's character?

Given that and were both obviously applying other characters' costumes to a Robin costume template, I am sure this is completely innocent. It's still pretty remarkable how close their redesigns ended up though, isn't it?

This image from IMMORTAL HULK is a good example of how effectively and Joe Bennett have turned 's Hulk into a horror comic.

It's not the scariest image in the issue, but it's a relatively regular occurrence--Hulk becoming Banner--here made totally horrifying:

I just read this collection of , , and company's entire 2017 UNSTOPPABLE WASP series and it was unbelievably good. It reads like a 160-page original graphic novel, and I think it's maybe the best Marvel comic I've read in forever.

Read it.
