Something I forgot about DAYTRIPPER is that the series has some of the best covers of any comic, ever. Just about everyone is a work of art in itself I’d want to put up on my wall. This one for issue #8 is my favourite. It poignantly depicts both presence and absence.

I finished RECKLESS last night. I really enjoyed that. It blended elements of JACK REACHER and THE EQUALISER and gave it all a Brubaker/Phillips twist. It might actually be my favourite of any Brubaker/Phillips comics I've read, apart from MAYBE the very best CRIMINAL stories.

I just finished Perfect Edition Volume 10 of 20TH CENTURY BOYS. This series is just amazing. You can feel the pull towards the endgame now, and it’s making me a wee bit emotional seeing how it’s all coming together. Now, the agonising wait until April for Volume 11...

I love the inside cover images in the MONSTER perfect editions. I wonder if that big Urasawa art book available in Japan is just full of the whole library of images like this from MONSTER, 20TH CENTURY BOYS and his other stuff?
