HAPPY 75TH BOWIE

David as Aladdin Sane has to be the most iconic image in music history

Here I was trying to find a way of reimagining his genius look by adding a little freshness and fun

Not black but shades of very dark purple, I thought of finding blackberries growing in a hedgerow on a frosty bright autumn morning - an order within a chaos of shapes. My sister's @maryannehobbs take: "Infinite light pushing through the darkness of the world in 2019"

A larger (60x60cm) heavily textured + physically heavy work built up with canvas pieces used as collage along with oil paints with some shinny glittering black highlights. I have this hanging in my bedroom and it definitely grows on you - seeing more the longer you look
