wait but how cute is it that haesoo noticed joowon saying that he also felt misunderstood and then remembered to bring it back up later. he mimics the way joowon shows his affection too, listing joowon’s likes and dislikes in the same way joowon did before to reassure him

an in depth conversation might be satisfying to see, but it’s a valid and imo good writing choice to do it this way instead. haesoo spent enough of his life feeling guilty and undeserving. we’re at the end of the story now, I’m glad yd is focusing on the happy moments instead

the sun was setting when haesoo went to the hospital and he didn’t leave til after 10 PM. they’ve decided to live together before he returns, it’s clear they talked things through in the hospital, once joowon was discharged, and while haesoo traveled.

yd prefers monologues for important moments, haesoo apologizing again on screen would be redundant. instead and more importantly, their regret is written in their thoughts so there’s no doubt they mean it completely, have no ulterior motives, & then they show it by their actions.
