There was a sense of fun to early Stan Lee comics where the world was full of gangsters, communists, and aliens just showing up every day for Iron Man to defeat.

Interesting how they went from children fearing Iron Man to children idolizing Iron Man in one issue, but explained it by having Tony update his armor to make it look less frightening.
