As Austria released some new lidar data - hillforts from Austria. 1st will be Konigsberg #hillfort, that looks over valley of river Slum in Styria in S parts of #Austria. Around the landscape of this hillfort there is a lot of prehistoric mounds.

#HillfortsWednesday 2nd tweet about #hillfort Ajdovscina, #Slovenia and final for today (exhausted). On top of the hill, we have the main hillfort. The light blue marked hillfort is harder to see, but its there. I am not sure about that extension - need to see it on the ground.

#HillfortsWednesday and this time some #hillforts from #Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia to be precise. We have a #hillfort with a cool name Babilonie, LaTene period and also a seat of #Saxon king Wittekind. More to the E we can see 2 more #hillforts, one later reused as castle.

To carry on from last week...it is still Dinmore hill :) I have updated viewshed analysis and have put more observer points on the hillfort. Now viewshed map made by @planlaufterrain looks like this. Observer and Target offset are 2m. #HillfortsWednesday #archaeology #Gis
