I mean just look at how great these colors are, and how they’re pretty consistent in the different titles. It’s so much better than dark and dreary looking Gotham. I guess it still is dark, but the almost neon colors play off that darkness so well, & the colors stand out so much

The color work on the Batman titles recently, especially during Fear State has been so damn good. Tomeu Morey (Batman) Jordie Bellaire (Detective & Catwoman) and Adriano Lucas (Nightwing), and all the other colorists have given Gotham in particular such a unique look

I came across @AblazePub’s Captain Harlock comic, and holy smokes is it pretty. Not often I’m introduced to a smaller publisher with a licensed book that looks this great. Jérôme Alquié is very good! Oh and they have the legendary Leiji Matsumoto co-writing with Alquié too!

Yes, it’s an Isekai starring a Red Ranger, because of course there’s a Super Sentai/Power Rangers themed Isekai

@JESnowden @brentbrookhouse John Ridley has been doing some DC work, and his The Other History is one of the best superhero comics in recent memory. Then the new Swamp Thing is written by Ram V… one of the best up & coming writers in the business. He fits in very well with what you like.

I enjoyed the first issue of Robins. I still don’t get why it was in that contest against far less popular and well known characters, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Waid and Ringo also had the Fantastic Four go into the afterlife to rescue Ben and meet their creator, and it was awesome. (1/2)
