These series of works arrived by purely responding to the sounds, rhythm, and movements of the piece. . . From borrowing lines that beetles make in the forest to carving my own drawn lines onto woodblocks, all of these actions of making were derived from the music.- Mika Aono

Our thoughts go out to our evacuated neighbors, and the firefighters who are fighting to contain the many wildfires burning across Oregon. We hope this work by Nelson Sandgren can bring joy and respite during these scary times. Take care of each other and stay safe out there.
