i find these characters to be particularly bad in this aspect. both are far too over designed, which in turn makes them not stand out in any way as their designs just become cluttered and melt into eachother. there is little to no memorability due to the overcomplicatedness.

these characters i find to be very poor in this aspect. there is no way new audiences could recognize them as "spider mob boss" or "moth latina" to make up for this, they act like walking stereotypes in order to phone in the fact they are italian/latina/gay as there is no way...

Stan Smith and Master Shake describe these fundamentals well. when you see Stan, you can tell what hes about with his design, an "american dream" breadwinner. Shake is one where his design tells you instantly What he is, being a.. shake.

the woes of a babyface barbarian 💪👶 some people just never grow out of it!

@Idolomantises answer: Ginseng from Indivisible! They are one of the few human NB characters that comes to mind. they are referred to with singular they all throughout the game and was confirmed to be nb by the developers. They are really cool!
