new painting: Winter in Oregon. Done with the Maxpack watercolor brushes (https://t.co/hofsbl8r9N) for #procreate (although I didn't use them in the watercolory way you're supposed to >_>).
Here's a little series of steampunk animals I did many years ago that I thought was kind of cute, especially when printed and displayed as a set. :)
Another oldie but goodie: "Planetary Alignment." This one gets circulated around a lot, too. I painted it 10 years ago, and it was a turning point for my career, I think; my first award nominations were for this piece, and it's still one of my top selling prints.
When I was at Dragoncon last summer, I got so many comments about this piece ("Beneath the Surface") from people who had seen it around on reddit, pinterest, facebook, etc, but had no idea who had made it bc it was uncredited. Please always credit the artist when you post art!
There was a post going around earlier about how artists should post older art, and... hey why not! Here is "Space Sirens" from a few years back. I still really like this one. :)
It's #PortfolioDay again! My name is Julie Dillon, I'm a freelance illustrator who does colorful and imaginative art using digital media. I've worked in publishing, games, tarot/astrology, and more!

Here's some of the pieces I'm most proud of from 2019. I didn't get done as much as I'd hoped, but I finally feel like I'm moving in a direction I like.
Next up: Gemini! ♊️ Shout-out to the two friends of mine who are double geminis and are both super-awesome get-shit-done people ♥ #astrology #zodiac
