On a side note as well, these laughing sprites from Sonic Jam also seem to be a bit different compared to Sonic 3.
Knuckles seems to be chuckling a bit more than usual.
Something that I recently noticed about the early Knuckles sprites from the Sonic 3 November prototype is that
there seems to be a remnant of the early sprite style. This is one of the sprites from the skidding animation in
Sonic Jam (the Game .com version). (Thread)
To be honest I probably don't count as an artist at all, but here is some spritework i have done over the last couple of years. I must say I have definitely improved a lot more than I thought I did.
