A blind girl at a holy well: A scene in the west of Ireland by Frederic William Burton who is a 2nd cousin, 4 times removed of my husband. Lady Wilde had this to say about Burton’s work: https://t.co/tc0rMjy8s6
2/3 the Marquis of Lorne (married to Princess Louise) aka the Duke of Argyll. Lorne was the brother in law of Gertrude Blood (Lady Colin Campbell) from co. Clare a 5th cousin 3x removed of my husband. The heist is reminiscent of the English Crown Jewels “stolen” by Col. Blood...

Lady Sandys (2nd from left) & some of her family members from my Lord George Hill album. On the rt. is the Sandys home, Ombersley Court in Worcestershire. Sadly, the most recent Lord & Lady Sandys have died without an heir & thus the Sandys association with this house has ended.
Just after seeing #MaryQueenofScots this evening & at the start of the film I remembered that I bought an album recently featuring Holyrood Palace & Mary’s bedroom. Brilliant performances by Saoirse Ronan & Margot Robbie. A must see for history buffs!
