Anna Sewell was born #onthisday 30 March 1820. Her novel 'Black Beauty' changed the world, making people acutely aware of the wrongness of cruelty to animals. She died only 5 months after Black Beauty's publication, so does not know the good she did.

My painting of a raven & the moon, made on the last day of our #mythiccreativityretreat @lifeatspringfield - it’s inspired by @HannahWillowArt as I am still very much a beginner! Her work is so gorgeous. I’m really pleased with it, it’s encouraging me to keep on learning & trying
