I’m excited to share this commission from @breebird33, who created a Halloween arrangement of poisonous plants for me. Bree is a marvelous comic artist and illustrator, and I’m a huge fan of their colorful (and spooky!) botanical studies.
Singlepetaled of Spring is a collection of short comics by Mizuha Kirihata that were originally sold as dōjinshi at Comitia. Although the stories contain fantasy elements like talking animals and tiny elves, their themes are surprisingly serious and enhanced by the fantastic art.
Neko to Watashi to Deutschland by Ryoko Nagara (@fzzrymm on Twitter) is a slice-of-life manga about a Japanese woman shopping for ingredients to make Japanese home cooking while living in Berlin. The art is gorgeous, and the culture notes really make me want to visit Germany!
This lovely collection of comics and illustrations by @taco_emonemon has never failed to cheer me up when I'm down, not even once. It's also full of creative layout designs, and it's a huge inspiration for elegant yet playful book formatting.
