#InternationalWomensDay
A good day to keep pushing for the improvement of research and care for women, girls, and all those who menstruate with #diabetes
20 years ago this week I was showing all the classic signs of type one diabetes, but my mum was dismissed by healthcare professionals as paranoid and pushy because I was “too young”
T1D can happen at any time, at any age. knowing the signs can make all the difference ⬇️
What a week it’s been for diabetes technology! Thank you to everyone involved in creating the opportunity for choice, access and a greater sense of freedom!
What other words would you add to this?
I always find diabetes social media can be fairly overwhelming during Diabetes Awareness Month- raising awareness is super important and I love seeing everyone share their stories but taking care of yourself should still take priority over daily challenges 💙
