3: Convert or remove buffs
4: Preemptively curse
5: Hit them really hard
6: Just play an actual good fucking game, like Stick of Truth or Street Stage

I won't say that modern gaming sucks, but I do find it more tiresome. Like, with all the AAA shit more upfront than ever, hype culture up the ass and this mentality of making most games cinematic focused, it all just misses my preferences.
