Okay, one more game. Here's Ultimate Journey, a canceled side-scrolling NES action game (and shooter!) about a shapeshifting Native American warrior. It was complete enough that three different magazines reviewed it, but unlike some other canceled NES games, it's never turned up.

I love ZZ Badnasty's little high-tech monocle. It's a favorite sci-fi design flourish for me, whether it's in Dragon Ball Z, Elevator Action Returns, or the classic WE DIE scene from The Last Starfighter.

As I kid who just saw Gaiares in screenshots, I assumed Dan and Alexis were related because they have almost the same hair color. But nope! Dan is a human and Alexis is an alien.
